What was the ask?

Fill out the guideline of branding questions by researching each brand.

Lululemon:

  • When completing this journal, I did my research by going through the Luluemon website and social media page. I also looked at Forbes magazine and used what I see day to day to answer these questions.

  • Some key words that came to mind when observing how they present themselves online were intimacy, comfortable, and lifestyle. This showed me that they are the lover archetype which is what I based my further research on.

  • Luluemon brands itself exactly how you would expect which works perfectly for them. They are a comfortable, athleisure company for women. They present themselves as soft, sweet, cool, and comfy not only on their website and social media but through the curves of their logo as well.

Warby parker:

  • I went through Warby Parker’s website and looked up their story to get a grasp on who they are. I also asked my roommate who is a regular Warby Parker customer about their experience.

  • Warby Parker brands themselves as the hero archetype. They helped people everywhere by creating affordable and attractive eyewear. They are innovative, fun, and honest.

  • Warby presents itself by using their backstory and come up. This is an interesting way to brand a company. It works well for Warby Parker because they have a good story to tell that leaves an affect on the reader.

Louis vuitton:

  • I utiized Louis Vuitton’s website, socials, and the LVMH Group website to dig into this brand.

  • LV is the creator archetype. They are high-quality, stylish, and daring which lines up with the attributes of the creator. They are a luxury brand and therefore strive to deliver excellence.

  • LV markets themselves as other luxury brands do; with a focus on heritage, exclusivity, and craftsmanship. It is very interesting to see how high fashion luxury brands present themselves with very high quality and over-the-top website and social media experiences.

trendt vision:

  • In this branding class, we were given one journal to complete on any brand we wanted. I wanted to look into Trendt Vision as I admire their style of clothing. This made them a bit difficult to research on as they are a private, small company.

  • I see this brand as the explorer archetype. Their website explains how they believe in breaking the rules and they are inspired by they beauty of cultures. They are youthful, unique, and value freedom.

  • TV is that cool brand of clothing that you see online or on Tik Tok. They do a terrific job at marketing themselves with interesting photoshoots or collaborations with fashion influencers. It is super fun to see what smaller brands do to put themselves out their and push for the right audience.
